Trekking for BCNA
Trekking for BCNA
Story
Greetings everyone!
I am an avid supporter of Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) and in October 2016, I will be embarking on an epic fundraising challenge organised by Inspired Adventures in support of BCNA. I will be part of a team of 20 inspired individuals, trekking 50km across the Great Wall of China, tackling many steps – from well restored to the completely crumbled! Our trekking team will aim to fundraise over $50,000 for BCNA.
This cause is very close to my heart as I am deeply grateful for the support I received from BCNA in early 2013 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. At a time when I felt my future has become unclear and my mind was tormented with the worst possible outcome, I have found the information provided by BCNA and the documented experiences of women who had come before me, as my one true reliable source giving me understanding and hope for the future I so want to be present for.
The thought of trekking 50km is daunting and I will be training from now until October 2016 in order to be fit and ready to take on this challenge. Now, your part is easy. All you need to do is share your good fortune with BCNA.
I am hoping you will be so inclined and will make a tax-deductible donation to BCNA via this webpage. Not only will it count towards confirming my place in this challenge, but more importantly it will go a long way in ensuring BCNA is able to fund its programs and activities. BCNA's role is to inform, support, represent and connect Australians personally affected by breast cancer.
The difference you will make means more than you know.
Sincerely,
Jess
